The TC301 Athens 2026 Symposium will take place over three days. The first two days, hosted at the Athens Conservatoire, will cover the traditional themes of the Symposium. The programme will open with the Kerisel Lecture by E.O Shelley and continue with a balanced combination of keynote lectures and oral presentations of the accepted papers, providing a comprehensive overview of the latest developments in geotechnical engineering for the preservation of monuments and historic sites.
The third day of the Symposium will be held at the Acropolis Museum and will be dedicated to the protection and preservation of Greece’s monuments and cultural heritage against natural and climate-related hazards—an enduring legacy of the host country. The programme will feature keynote lectures by Professor Manolis Korres, presenting the Acropolis restoration programme and the new era of the monument; Professor Christos Zerefos, discussing the emerging threats of climate change to cultural heritage; and Professor Nicos Makris, revealing the inherent structural ingenuity of ancient Greek engineering and architecture. These keynote lectures will be complemented by selected technical presentations on Greek cultural heritage, followed by a technical visit to the Acropolis.

Oral Presentation Programme and Guidelines
The table below lists all accepted papers, all of which will be presented as oral presentations.
Each presentation is allocated 10 minutes, including time for questions (approximately 8–9 minutes for the presentation itself).
Presenting authors are kindly requested to review the programme and identify the scheduled time slot for the session in which their paper will be presented.
To maximise interaction and ensure that every contribution receives equal visibility, the Symposium will run as a single-session event, with all presentations taking place in the same room. This format is designed to encourage lively discussions and allow all participants to engage with the full breadth of the technical programme.
Please note that the Symposium programme is very tightly scheduled. We therefore kindly ask all presenters to adhere strictly to their allocated presentation time. Your cooperation is essential to ensure a smooth programme, provide every presenter with equal opportunities for discussion, and keep the sessions running on schedule.
Presentation Submissions
A PowerPoint presentation template is provided here and should be used wherever possible.
Presentations may be uploaded in advance using the dedicated submission form here. The submission portal will remain open until Tuesday, 15 September, at 4:00 pm. We strongly encourage presenters to upload their presentations before the deadline to facilitate smooth transitions between presentations and minimise delays during the sessions.
