General Instructions & Deadlines

Before submitting your contribution to TC301 you are encouraged to go through the information below and get yourself familiar with the submission process and the publication terms.

Step 1: Abstract Submission

  • Authors submit a title and an abstract of 1 paragraph summarizing the key points of their work using the Online Submission Portal.
  • Although there is no limitation on the number of submitted abstracts, it is recommended not to exceed the two abstracts per author. Separate submissions shall be made for each abstract.
  • Abstracts are evaluated by the Scientific Committee as per their relevance to the Conference.

Step 2: Manuscript Submission

  • Only authors of accepted abstracts will be allowed to submit a full manuscript. Submissions of manuscripts shall be made through the Online Portal.
  • The submitted material should be original, prepared to a high scholarly standard and fully referenced.
  • There is no restriction on the length of manuscripts, provided that the text is concise and comprehensive. Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, interpretation and presentation of the manuscript. All authors should be acknowledged accurately and clearly.
  • Manuscripts will be subjected to peer-review.

Step 3. Publication to Conference Proceedings

  • The acceptance decisions will take into account paper novelty, technical depth, practical or theoretic impact, and clarity.
  • Review results will be communicated to the authors no later than 3 months of the time of the submission. Authors will have a period of 1 month to modify their manuscript according to the reviewers comments and submit a revised version.
  • Only papers that have addressed all reviewers’ comments and comply with the template format of the Conference will be eligible for publication in the Conference proceedings. Authors are not expected to comment or reply to the reviewers’ comments.
  • For a paper to be published in the conference proceedings, its corresponding author shall be registered to the conference.
  • Accepted manuscripts will be presented either orally or as e-poster.

Call for abstracts

We invite the submission of abstracts that fit the conference theme. Abstracts should be up to 250 words long and include a title and contributing authors. Accepted abstracts will be invited for paper submission. Abstracts can be submitted only through the electronic submission portal of ISSMGE.

If you already have an ISSGME account: Upon log in, press the green ‘Abstract submission button’ to submit your Abstract to the Conference. If the submission is successful, you will automatically receive a confirmation email assigning an ID to the submission, and the Abstract will appear on your personal abstract listing page.

If you do not already have an ISSGME account: Start by creating a ISSGME account. Then login by entering the credentials you have just created. Once logged in you may access the Conference Portal at the link below: 4th International Symposium on Geotechnical Engineering for the Preservation of Monuments and Historic Sites | ISSMGE. Then  follow the process described above for making your first abstract submission.

Manuscript Submission

Authors of accepted abstracts are invited to use the paper template provided in the link below to start preparing their manuscripts. Papers that do not follow the template will not be reviewed.
