Eleni Aggelakopoulou is a Chemical Engineer specializing in cultural heritage conservation. She holds a PhD in Restoration Mortars and an MSc in Monument Protection and Conservation. Since 2011, she has headed the Conservation Department of the Acropolis Restoration Service, where she studies historic materials, decay processes, and conservation techniques. She previously worked as a researcher at the National Technical University of Athens and contributed to major projects such as Hagia Sophia in Istanbul and the Tomb Chamber of the Holy Aedicule in Jerusalem. She has also led research on the architectural polychromy of the Acropolis monuments and has published extensively in heritage science and conservation.
